Insurance & Fees

We accept some commercial insurance plans as well as Medicare. Not all therapists can accept all plans, so be sure to confirm with your therapist before scheduling.

We also offer private pay therapy services, and are happy to provide a Superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please see our  FAQ page for more detailed information on Superbills and paying for therapy with an HSA card.

Sliding Scale Fee Structure

At Affirming Pathways, we are dedicated to providing accessible mental health services. To ensure affordability and inclusivity, we offer a limited number of openings for clients using our sliding scale fee structure, which allows people to pay fees based on their income and financial circumstances. Please  reach out to us if you’d like to apply for our sliding scale fee.

GFE Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit  cms.gov/nosurprises.
